California: EDD Unemployment Benefits Payment Delayed This Week

By UnemploymentPUA.com Staff, Monday, August 3rd, 2020

The UnemploymentPUA.com hotline has received multiple reports of delayed payments from Californians who usually have their benefits deposited to their BoA Card account before Midnight on Sunday; But this week, as of Monday 10:00 AM Pacific Time, payments are missing and yet to hit the accounts, despite being marked as "PAID" in the EDD website.

Laura T. from San Jose wrote "The $1,400 is always deposited in my account by 22:00 on Sunday. But it's Monday and I still don't have the money. I keep checking the balance on the Bank of America website every hour but nothing.". (Editor's note: This week, Laura will receive only $800 instead of $1,400, since the $600 FPUC has expired and will not be included for the second week. Next time she will get only $200 unless new legislation is passed to extend it)

We called Bank of America and were told by the rep that there is an issue in the system, that will cause the payment to go through up to 48-72 hours late.

UnemploymentPUA.com will continue to monitor the situation and post updates on this page, so make sure to bookmark and come back to check the status of the situation.
