When you claim this week, it will be the last time you get the extra $600 FPUC

UnemploymentPUA.com would like to remind everybody that unless new legislation is approved, the extra $600 ends this week. Next time you claim will be the last time you will receive the extra $600 FPUC payment.

For those claiming bi-weekly, if your next claim date falls on the beginning of August, only the first week (the one ending on July 25th or 26th) will include the $600 payment, while the second week will not.

The amount of emails to our hotline has been exponentially increasing the last few days, from families worried how they will get by without the unemployment benefits. Regular UI can often be as little as $100 or less per week. For many, the $600 has been a major portion of their weekly unemployment benefit payment, and they are now worried how they will survive.

Barring new legislation, everyone will only be receiving the regular UI amount and will no longer receive the extra $600 beginning next week. Should new legislation or an extension be approved, extra payments could be retroactive, but either way it may take a few weeks to implement, leaving many families in financial ruin.
